Shayne Ward

Shayne Ward was born in 1984 in Clayton, Manchester to Irish parents. He has a twin sister named Emma and five other siblings: Mark, Martin, Michael, Lisa and Leona. In early 2005, Ward auditioned for the second series of The X Factor. He impressed all three judges and passed through to the next round. He was crowned the winner of The X Factor in 2005. Immediately after his victory on The X Factor, Ward signed a recording contract with Sony BMG and his first single, “That’s My Goal”, was released in the UK on Wednesday, December 21, 2005. After selling 742,000 copies in the first week, it became the Christmas number one single of 2005, held the top spot for four weeks and stayed in the top 75 until June 2006, a 21-week run. On April 17, 2006, Shayne Ward released his self titled debut album. It has since gone platinum in the United Kingdom. On November 26, 2007, Shayne Ward released his second album, Breathless. The album was commercially successful, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It sold 95,801 units within a week of release. Since the beginning of his career, Shayne Ward has gone on to sell over 1 million records globally, including combined UK sales of 980,000 for his first two albums and sales of 600,000 in Asia for his debut album.

Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights was formed in Dayton, Ohio in June, 2001. Their line-up currently consists of vocalist and guitarist JT Woodruff, lead guitarist Micah Carli, bassist and vocalist Matt Ridenour and drummer Eron Bucciarelli. In late 2007, guitarist and vocalist Casey Calvert died of accidental causes, leaving the band as a four-piece. Toxicology and autopsy reports state Calvert died of Combined Drug Intoxication. The bands first album,The Silence in Black and White, was released in 2004. The album was slow to build sales at first; however, soon the video for the song Ohio Is for Lovers began getting airplay on MTV, and the band enjoyed breakout success at radio as well as a growing nationwide fan base, and the album became Victory Records’ highest selling debut. The Silence in Black and White peaked at number 56 on the Billboard charts. When Hawthorne Height’s second album, If Only You Were Lonely, was released on Feb 28, 2006, it debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts, powered by the lead single “Saying Sorry” which has received regular airplay on MTV, VH1 and Fuse. Hawthorne Heights released their third album, Fragile Future was released in 2008. The album debuted at number twenty three on the Billboard 200.

Nick Carter

Nick Carter was born on January 28, 1980 in Jamestown, New York. Nick Carter and two of his friends formed a mini group and started shopping for a manager. They encountered Lou Pearlman, who thought it would be appropriate to seek a fourth member. This was the chance for Kevin Richardson to join the group. In the beginning, there was no success in the United States, even though the first single had been a hit on Orlando radio stations. Lou then marketed the Backstreet Boys in Europe, where they became commercially successful in 1996. Nick Carter attempted a career as a solo artist in 2002, when he released Now Or Never. The album reached number seventeen on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold. That same year, Nick Carter was named “The Sexiest Man in the World” in a CosmoGirl Magazine poll conducted by its readers. He appeared opposite Kevin Zegers in the 2004 horror film, The Hollow, made two appearances on the TV show “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter”, and also appeared on “American Dreams”. In 2007 Carter filmed the independent movie Fast Glass with Brandon Quinn, Andrew Keegan, Natalia Cigliuti, Greg Grunberg, and Reno Wilson.


Tyrese Gibson is an American R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, former fashion model and MTV VJ born on December 30, 1978 in Watts, California. Tyrese Gibson’s career began when he won a talent show at the age of fourteen. An appearance in a 1997 Coca-Cola advertisement, singing the phrase “Always Coca-Cola”, led to wider fame, and at seventeen looks paved the way for him to model for Tommy Hilfiger. In 1998, Tyrese Gibson released his self titled debut album. It spawned the single “Sweet Lady” which reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2001, he released his sophomore album, 2000 Watts. It spawned the single “I Like Them Girls”. Tyrese would go on to release his third album, I Wanna Go There, in 2002. “How You Gonna Act Like That” remains as his biggest hit, peaking at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2006, he released his double album, Alter Ego. It sold 115,957 copies during its first week and landed on #23 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart, #4 on the R&B Album charts and #3 on the Rap Album chart. In 2009, he will reprise his role as Air Force Technical Sergeant Robert Epps in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
